"As I worked with Wes I saw what a treasure he was and was saddened by his death. I felt his work had to continue somehow. I decided that I should finish the project I started on with him regarding the editing of his manuscripts. It was a tribute to his genius and a labor of love from me to get it out to the world to see. Nobody else would have taken it on for such a long time. I am glad to help out to those who see the benefits of it. I am in the process of reaching out to Egyptologists, Archeologists and Mathematicians to see if they can see the merit in Wes’s creation." - Thomas Schuler

This is a story near and dear to my heart that I must share, and the conclusion of a search I have been on for seven years. For me personally it has been a journey of discovering my purpose and how music ties into ancient sites, specifically the Great Pyramid of Egypt. It is a story of synchronicity, perfect timing, and as it turns out, an opportunity for me to assist in some small way to give back to a man who gave every bit of himself to bring the world and individuals an understanding of divine principles of mathematics that combine the arts, sciences, and the cosmos.
It began for me seven years ago when I heard an interview by a man named Alan Howarth. He is a hollywood composer and sound designer most notably known for his work in many John Carpenter moves including Escape From New York, the Halloween movies, and They Live. His award-winning sound designs have appeared in every Star Trek movie from Star Trek: The Motion Picture, through Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, etc., and the list goes on and on... But in this interview he discussed something very different that intrigued me and vibrated as truth to me deep into my soul.
"In about 1992 I was given a book called 'The Rods Of Amon Ra'. It was written by a fellow named Wesley H. Bateman. Bateman had spent about 25 years analyzing the architecture of the Great Pyramid in search of what we call sacred geometry. He was convinced that the original architects built that structure as a mathematical model to higher knowledge, so that if one were to understand the architecture then one would understand the math behind the architecture, the measurements , thats why he calls it 'The Rods Of Amon Ra': The rods were the measurements... and he called it Ra Mathematics. I read the book cover to cover and I was fascinated... He discussed there would be frequencies described by the Pyramid."
(Howarth explains at this point after reading the self published book by Bateman, he found his contact information and called him on the phone and what they discussed.)
"We got into this discussion on why the Pyramid is shaped like it is, why the length of every stone means something and is this whole elaborate knowledge base, and whoever understood this, I believe, understood The Creator's mathematics through the math of the 3rd dimension, and how it is put together from higher dimensions. If we are in the higher dimensions, to continue to slow down and to be dense, light to mass, it turns out there are ratios. The two key ratios in the mathematics of the Pyramid are Pi and Phi. Pi being the circle to its circumference, 3.14159265..., it goes on forever. If you try to express these numbers decimally, they are infinite: So they are called irrational numbers. The same thing for the other one, Phi, or what we call the 'golden mean' which is 1.618033... Now in mathematics we call them 'irrational', but from Wes Bateman's point of view they were from the infinite: They were numbers from a higher place, another dimension that didn't resolve in the third dimension; and that these were construction ratios described by the Pyramid."
Howarth then speaks about the Phi ratio and how it is found throughout nature in all of it's forms. (textbooks call this the Pythagorean Theorum, but there is ample proof that exists showing Pythagorus got this idea from Egypt). He also adds that the Pi ratio comes from circles and spheres, and he references Genesis and the idea of "In the beginning was the word". We can also compare this idea with "om" derived from Sanskrit. The idea of Om is analogous with "Omega", but much more than "I am the alpha and Omega", as "Om" seems to encompass that whole idea; the beginning and the end of everything that ever was and ever shall be. The important thing to note here is that these sounds and vibrations are akin to the cosmic breath that is the creation of the universe. This is theorized to have happened spherically in an omni-directional outward pattern, and Pi is a representation of this in the microcosm of our understanding. These two ratios, according to Bateman's work, are all over the Pyramid.
Continuing on with the interview I was already fascinated with, I literally was on the edge of my seat because of what Howarth said next; that the encoded ratios within the Pyramid also had direct applications in music. According to Bateman's research, Pi and Phi can also be expressed through music and sound directly by correcting the tuning of instruments to the natural frequencies; the very same frequencies we hear in nature everywhere around us, from whale song to birds singing, all of nature's sounds fall within these ratios just as the physical form of all things represents this divine math. According to this divine math, these ratios can be achieved in music by tuning the "A" above what we call "middle C" on the keyboard to a specific frequency. Tuning "A" to 432 cycles a second (Hz) will achieve the Phi ratio, and tuning "A" to 424 Hz will achieve Pi ratio between the intervals of the notes when tuned this way.
In 1925 the tuning of western music was standardized to the note "A natural" to 440 cycles per second. From this time forward, this tuning served as the general standard for musical pitch and instrument manufacturing, and has served as the audio frequency reference for the calibration of acoustic equipment and the tuning of pianos, violins, and other musical instruments. The first tuning fork is attributed to being invented in 1711 by John Shore (d. 1752), the renowned musician, instrument maker and trumpeter to the English Royal Court and favorite of George Frederic Handel (1685-1759). Shore's tuning fork was very close to Pi, at A=422.5. This is very significant because although there were different tuning forks used by whom we dub "classical masters", they composed their music to frequencies that "felt right", and their tuning forks for the most part fell in the range of Pi and Phi.
Based on the work of Wesley H. Bateman, Alan Howarth continued his research and teamed with Dr. J.J. Hurtak and the Academy of Future Science and traveled to the Kings Chamber in the Great Pyramid in Egypt and also to 200+ Mayan temples in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and made acoustical recordings to measure the resonances. Together they published a paper in association with the University of Mexico City that documented that a majority of the Mexican sites resonated to the same Pi and Phi based frequencies found in the Egyptian pyramids.
Howarth and Hurtak’s acoustical research confirmed Bateman’s original mathematical predictions about the frequency properties of these ancient structures. The hypothesis was that the architects of these ancient structures were well aware of acoustics and chose precise dimensions of these structures to create areas of specific resonant properties. The consistency of a majority of the resonant frequencies confirmed this. After analysis of their research, they were able to conclude that the frequencies used in earlier times were somewhat different to the frequencies that are now standardized in our western music.
One thing was clear to me at that moment: I had to get a copy of Wesley Bateman's book. From that day until present day I haven't been able to find it. I have exhausted searching for it over the internet and even asked through social media on several occasions, if anyone has ever found a copy or knows anyone who may have access to it. Apparently there were only several hundred copies in existence, and it seemed to be reserved for people of privilege who managed to come across it through social circles of Bateman. After hearing how Alan Howarth, Dr. J.J. Hurtak, and others have been profoundly effected by this book, it is something I have never been able to let go of; always in the back of my mind and resurfacing at times, that I must find it. Besides a 30 page excerpt interpreted for another purpose floating around the web, the only full copy I know of for sure exists at the Smithsonian; and I knew I had a snowball's chance in hell of being able to see or copy it in any way.
About a week or so ago, I once again found myself looking online for any breadcrumb trail I could find. I had gotten into a discussion with my mother about the whole thing, including how I've heard stories about Bateman being friends with, and apparently with his lectures and books, inspiring Gene Roddenberry to create Star Trek. He was a non-materialistic man who gave his ideas freely and lovingly, never wanting credit, or copyrights: He just wanted the information and knowledge he had to be shared with humanity and all who could benefit from it. In many ways, his character and his life reminds me of Nikola Tesla; complete altruism and the giving of oneself to others. She asked me when he had died. As I was looking up the date, I noticed a name of one of his friends and decided I would try to contact this man, a complete stranger, and ask where I could possibly find this book. I thought I would try Facebook first. To my complete amazement, not only was he on Facebook, he was on my friends list!! After sending him a message, he contacted me back and said he did not have the book, but... he knew someone who might. He passed along the contact info to me and I immediately sent out an email; and that is when I connected with Thomas Schuler.
I feel compelled to conclude this post by passing an excerpt of his response along because this great work needs to be read by engineers, egyptologists, mathematicians, musicians, or anyone with any interest in these subject matters that want to dive deeper, and possibly crack the code of the function of these places; namely the Great Pyramid. Thank you Thomas Schuler, for being instrumental in entrusting us with this inspiring work by Wesley H. Bateman.
"The original book that you are referring to was actually a massive 4 volume manuscript that Wes Bateman wrote concerning his research and development of his Ra System of Mathematics. I worked closely with Wes on several projects and prior to his passing he gave me permission to edit these volumes. When I started to read these volumes I did not have any idea how much work it would entail... This process took 12 years to complete since the volumes were so massive and the content of which his writings consisted of. The result was that I decided to convert the 4 volumes into book form for easier understanding and reading. The 4 volumes resulted in a series of 7 books requiring the reader needing to start with the first book and continuing through all books in correct numerical order. In no way has any of Wes’s material been changed or altered. His writings and contents are exactly as he wrote them. I only corrected mistakes and made the reading more visually acceptable. This “set” of books can be purchased through the memorial website I created in honoring him. Details of this endeavor is noted below, it is also sad that Wes never got to see the final product because of his passing before the completion of the work. He would have been proud of the finished works."
Ra System of Mathematics is a new concept of mathematics that precisely measures the architectural structure, functions, and possible theoretical implications of megalithic structures in Egypt and elsewhere.
26 years in studying the Pyramids plus 12 years of editing this is a must for those who think they have studied everything about the Pyramids.
This information concerns Professional Mathematicians whom should seriously consider what Dr. Bateman has presented. It is only through many lines of evidence will we be able to understand past societies.
The reader will be shown how the Ra System's presence in the geometry of the Great Pyramid that strongly indicates that the structure's designer and possibly other ancient architects at other times in the past, had an extensive knowledge of nature, and of the existence and dynamic functions of atomic particles.
Using the Ra System of Mathematics it is possible to tremendously improve applications of Mathematics, Physics, Medical, Science, Music, Space Travel, Transportation, Biology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology.
This interest is for Archeologists, Mathematicians, Anthropologists and Egyptologists since they deal with the Giza Pyramid and other scientific mathematic endeavors. This is also an excellent project for PhD students for a Doctoral Thesis program.
